Commercial rooftop solar for factories, offices and institutions
Envotech Energy installs grid-connected rooftop solar plants for commercial and industrial (C&I) customers in Kolkata, Howrah and across West Bengal. We take care of everything from the first solar audit to commissioning and long-term O&M, with engineering and execution through Jevanta Renewables' 950+ MW EPC platform.

What's included
A single team is accountable for the whole project, so there are no gaps between design, installation and grid approvals.
- Solar audit: load profile, roof survey and shading analysis
- System design, structural and electrical engineering
- Module, inverter and balance-of-system selection
- Installation, testing and commissioning
- Net-metering application and grid synchronisation
- Remote monitoring and O&M
Designed around your load profile
The right system size is not simply the largest one that fits on the roof. We analyse your electricity bills, daytime consumption and sanctioned load, then size the plant so that the maximum share of solar generation is consumed on site, which is where commercial rooftop solar delivers the best returns.
How much roof space you need
As a rule of thumb, rooftop solar needs about 80 to 100 square feet of shadow-free area per kilowatt, so a 100 kW plant typically needs 8,000 to 10,000 square feet. Metal-sheet roofs generally need less area than tilted arrays on flat RCC roofs.
Built for the long term
Every plant is engineered for Kolkata's monsoon and wind conditions, with corrosion-resistant mounting structures, proper earthing and lightning protection, and safe access for cleaning and maintenance over a 25-year life.
Frequently asked questions
What size of commercial rooftop solar plant does Envotech install?
Envotech Energy installs commercial and industrial rooftop solar plants from small kilowatt-scale systems for offices and institutions up to MW-scale plants on large factory roofs, sized to the customer's load profile, roof area and sanctioned load.
How long does a commercial rooftop solar plant last?
Solar modules are typically designed for a 25-year performance life, and inverters usually need replacement or major service once during that period. Regular O&M (cleaning, inspections and monitoring) keeps generation close to design levels throughout the plant's life.
Will installing rooftop solar damage my roof?
No, when it is engineered correctly. Envotech Energy checks the roof's structural capacity first, uses ballasted or leak-proof anchored mounting on RCC roofs and non-penetrating or sealed clamps on metal sheets, and provides walkways so maintenance does not damage the roof.
